 ST. XAVIER’S COLLEGE, Kathmandu, is an educational institution of higher learning established and managed by the Nepal Jesuit Society. In 1988 A.D., the Jesuits established it. The College has provided high-quality education from its beginning and has aided in the growth of the country by producing workers who are well qualified.

St. Xavier's College now offers 13 distinct programs. It offers Ten Plus Two (10+2) Science curriculum through connection with National Examination Board (NEB) and A-level Non-Science and Science under Cambridge Assessment International Education. St. Xavier's College provides bachelor's degree programs in B.Sc. Physics, B.Sc. Microbiology, B.Sc. CSIT, Bachelor of Information Management (BIM), Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Social Work and English), and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) with affiliation from Tribhuvan University. In addition, it manages the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program with Kathmandu University's support. Additionally, it provides Masters degrees through Tribhuvan University in Microbiology (M.Sc. Microbiology), Physics (M.Sc. Physics), and Business Studies (MBS).

+2 in St. Xaviers college

 There are two sub-streams in the scientific program at the Higher Secondary Level (+2): biology and physics. Biology, Chemistry, English, Extra Math, Mathematics, Nepali, and Physics are the subjects available for the Biology sub-stream. For the Physics sub-stream, options are Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Nepali, and Physics. 

Admission Criteria

• Admission to Grade 11 at St. Xavier’s College is merit-based.
• Candidates who apply should have secured minimum ‘A’ in Science, Compulsory Mathematics, Optional Mathematics, English & minimum ‘B+’ in all other subjects in S.E.E
• Entrance Examination performance.
• The shortlisted students will have to sit for an interview by a panel of experts before being selected for admissions at SXC.

Dress code

The only college in Nepal that permits students in grades +2 to attend class in casual attire is this one. You must wear shirt or T-shirt with collar on it. You will be given a ID card which you should have all the time. 

Timetable

The college starts at 9:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM. There will be 8 subjects each of 45 min. You will be penalized if you come late. Discipline is what St. Xaviers teaches so everything you do must be in discipline. You will have a prayer once a week. It differs for 11 and 12 grade. You will have to attend it. It starts on 9:00 AM. So once a week you have to come on 9 AM to college. 

Clubs in St. Xaviers college

Through the formation of several clubs, including UDAAN, Social Service Club, St. Xavier's Solidarity Movement, Sports Club, ECO Club, Physics Club, Chemistry Club, Social Service Environment Club (SET), Art and Culture Club, and Literature Club, the college encourages its students participate in activities. You can join one of them and believe me there is lot fun in the program held by them. You will learn leadership and have fun in the journey. 

Library and Laboratories

Library in the college is one of the best in the valley. Since it also offers bachelor's and masters programmes it have abundant amount of books starting from literature all the way to science and tech. It also have discussion room for discussion and projects. 

Laboratory in the college is full equipped and have all new and modern devices. The main thing is it offers some experiment which is not done by any secondary students like household wiring, electromagnetic induction and many more. Biology lab is one of the best with new resources and allow students to do it themselves is best part. 

Sports

St. Xaviers college offers ample facilities of sports with basketball court inside it. It also have badminton court, T. T table and good space for small ball games. It also conduct a sport fest once a year in st. Xaviers jawlakhel. It conducts lots of sports that day. It also conducts indoor games like chess throughout the year.

The best part about the college is its students. The students are very much focused which makes the environment amazing and the supporting teachers is the best part. It also render students in all fields like physical students study little bit of biology and bio group little bit of computer so that every student have the knowledge of every aspects.
